China’s Diesel Engine Sales Decline in January

China has witnessed a 12 percent decline in diesel engines to 218,300 units this month, with around 30000 units of reduction over the previous year.

As the data shown above, of the top ten diesel makers, Jiefang, JMC and Dongfeng, three diesel makers have maintained a positive growth this month. JMC increased by 14% year on year, the highest growth rate, which is followed by Jiefang, with a 10 percent rise year-on-year.

When looking at the market share, the top ten diesel makers hold a collective market share of 90.42 percent. The top five brands together account for almost 63.32 percent of the total.
