China’s Heavy Truck Market Surges in October, Full-Year Sales to Hit 1.1M

November 29,2025

China’s heavy-duty truck market continued to rebound in October 2025, with sales rising 60% year-on-year and marking the sector’s seventh consecutive month of growth. Monthly heavy truck sales once again surpassed 100,000 units, extending the momentum of the traditional “Golden September, Silver October” peak season.

October Sales Hit 106,200 Units, Up 60%

Data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) shows total truck sales across all segments reached 311,100 units in October, up 22% from a year earlier.A monthly volume of 106,200 units is a strong showing by any measure in China’s heavy-duty truck market—especially for October, traditionally a peak sales month. Over the past decade (excluding 2025), average October HDT sales stood at roughly 76,500 units. Only five of those ten years saw October volumes exceed 80,000 units, and sales topped 100,000 in just one year. Against that backdrop, the 106,200 units recorded in October 2025 represent an exceptionally solid performance.
