www.chinatrucks.com: According to statistics of MIT, in April, the natural gas heavy truck market sees April production to be about 7,042 units, down 9% month over month but up 666% year-on-year, far higher than 587% growth in March. Since the beginning of this year, it reports a very satisfactory set of results: up 257% in January, 927% in February, 587% in March and 666% in April. The total year-on-year growth rate reaches 571% in the first 4 months, 38% higher than that of Q1 (533%). The amount of Gas Fuelled Trucks produced during the first 4 months reaches 21,767 units, higher than the whole of 2016 (around 20,000 units). It turns out to be far better than expected.

As is shown in below chart, in April, almost all enterprises have experienced an astonishing growth rate. The top 3 enterprises are Dongfeng, SHACMAN and Jiefang with respective production of 1,363 units, 1,312 units and 1,139 units, up by 503%, 879% and 849% respectively. C&C sees the highest growth rate of 2211% year on year with 416 units produced, followed by Beiben and Dayun, reporting a jump of 1471% and 1331% respectively year-on-year.
As for many other firms, SINOTRUK experiences a growth of 778% year on year, Foton up 673% year on year, CAMC 690% year on year and JAC up 650% year on year.
