June 06,2025

Under the agreement signed Tuesday, the companies will collaborate on integrating CATL’s high-performance batteries and system-level solutions into APM Terminals' operations, aiming to reduce carbon emissions in the global logistics sector.
Grant Morrison, global head of asset procurement at APM Terminals, and Li Xiaoning, executive president of overseas commercial application at CATL, signed the agreement during a ceremony attended by senior representatives from both organizations.
“This partnership marks a significant milestone in our decarbonization journey,” Morrison said. “It strengthens our commitment to electrifying terminal operations and achieving our carbon reduction goals.”
Li noted that the two companies had previously worked together through the Zero Emission Port Alliance. “This new agreement allows us to accelerate the development of industry-leading solutions and further lower greenhouse gas emissions at ports,” he said.
The partnership also includes cooperation on battery lifecycle management, covering product development, after-sales service and recycling. The two companies plan to support emissions reduction across the supply chain and contribute to the energy transition in port operations globally.
