JAC Pickup Reports Strong Sales Growth in May Across Global Markets
June 12,2025

Domestic sales grew approximately 12% year-over-year, while overseas deliveries rose about 24%, according to JAC. From January to May, the company sold 21% more pickups globally compared with the same period in 2024. International sales rose nearly 25% during the five-month period, while domestic sales increased close to 11%.
The company cited product upgrades, expanding market presence, and demand from institutional customers as key factors in its recent growth. In May, JAC delivered 40 Hunter pickups to China Post for rural logistics services and 50 additional units to State Grid Corporation of China, following a March delivery of 44 vehicles.
JAC also introduced updates to its diesel pickup lineup, increasing maximum torque to 420 Newton-meters and adding safety and handling features including electronic power steering, electronic stability control, electronic parking brake, and four-wheel disc brakes.
In the new energy vehicle segment, the company debuted its Hunter plug-in hybrid electric pickup at the Greater Bay Area Auto Show. The model, which offers both torque and range exceeding 1,000 units, is available in both left- and right-hand drive versions and is designed for commercial, personal, and off-road use.
As part of its marketing and brand engagement efforts, JAC held an off-road challenge event on May 29 in Chongqing. The event featured the debut of the T8 Jinqing model in off-road conditions and attracted participation from auto clubs, media, and consumers.
JAC continues to target both domestic and overseas markets, with a focus on regions including Australia, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa.
