Shaanxi Tongli, a subsidiary of Shaanxi Automobile Group, reported a 204% year-on-year increase in special vehicle sales in the first half of 2025, with exports rising 2.4 times from the same period a year earlier, the company said.

The surge was driven by targeted overseas expansion, improved production planning, and increased demand for all-wheel-drive desert trucks, mining trucks and heavy-duty tractors. From January to June, the company exported 269 special vehicles, with monthly export orders reaching a record high.

Shaanxi Tongli said it focused on expanding its overseas marketing network in the first half of the year, securing multiple batch orders from clients in the Middle East and Southeast Asia. The company credited its performance to operational improvements and supply chain coordination aimed at supporting export growth.

In June, orders for all-wheel-drive cargo trucks and tractors continued to grow. To meet rising demand, Shaanxi Tongli said it ramped up production in recent months by auditing inventory levels, addressing potential supply bottlenecks, and adjusting assembly schedules. The company also coordinated with logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of orders.

Internally, the firm implemented operational changes aimed at improving efficiency. These included forming cross-functional product teams, shortening procurement cycles, and enhancing quality control in cooperation with the group’s import-export division.

Looking ahead, Shaanxi Tongli plans to expand its presence in international markets and invest further in smart manufacturing and specialized product development. The company said it aims to strengthen its position in the niche commercial vehicle sector through continued focus on core components and export capabilities.
