DeepWay Holds First Heavy Truck Test Drive in New Zealand

August 25,2025

DeepWay recently hosted its first heavy truck test drive event in New Zealand, drawing over 30 key customers. Attendees included the country’s largest dairy trading company, leading global logistics firms, and core local freight operators. The event also attracted coverage from major local media.

The test drives took place at Hampton Downs Park, New Zealand’s largest international racing venue. With multiple challenging tracks, the site offered an ideal setting to test the trucks under high loads and complex road conditions. During the event, DeepWay trucks successfully completed double-trailer acceleration, tight curves, and other demanding maneuvers, showcasing their power, reliability, and advanced smart features.

Customer teams actively took part in the drives. Many praised the trucks for their long range, low energy consumption, and smooth handling. They noted that the vehicles met their operational needs and expressed strong interest in future purchases. One executive from New Zealand’s largest dairy trading company personally drove a DeepWay truck, saying, “This truck is really fun to drive.” He also highlighted its power, handling, and smart systems, and looked forward to potential collaboration in dairy transport.

The trucks on display were right-hand-drive models specifically designed for the New Zealand market. They feature 600 kWh batteries, offering a range of over 440 km under full load. The vehicles are NZTA-certified and come equipped with the “Tianji·Suixing” advanced driver assistance system, including adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping, and emergency braking. An optional “Tianji·Yanxing” platooning system allows one driver to control up to four trucks simultaneously, improving efficiency and safety on long-haul routes.

As a global leader in new energy heavy trucks and smart logistics solutions, DeepWay used the event to demonstrate its technological strength and innovation to key New Zealand customers, laying a solid foundation for future business growth in the region. The company plans to continue leveraging technology to provide more efficient, smarter, and greener transport solutions worldwide.
