CATL’s Sodium-Ion Battery Passes World’s Strictest Safety Standard

On September 5, 2025, CATL (SZ300750) announced that its sodium-ion battery had passed the new GB 38031-2025 safety certification for electric vehicle batteries. It is the first sodium-ion battery in the world to meet what is widely regarded as the toughest battery safety standard to date.
