Scania Launches NEXT ERA Tier-One Dealer Network Across China
January 31,2026
Under the newly signed agreements, NEXT ERA has authorized 26 Tier-One dealers, backed by 18 experienced commercial vehicle dealer investors. The move marks the full rollout of the brand’s primary dealer network across the Chinese market.
The authorization follows the market launch of the NEXT ERA heavy-duty truck, during which limited-edition models sold out during the pre-sales phase. The establishment of a nationwide sales and service network represents a key step in NEXT ERA’s localization strategy and its long-term development in China.
NEXT ERA has now established more than 100 sales and service outlets nationwide, providing full market coverage. In parallel, the company’s China spare parts center began operations this month. Together, these developments create an integrated system covering vehicle sales, after-sales service, and parts supply, supporting the delivery of the first batch of NEXT ERA tractor models scheduled to begin in February.

The signing ceremony was attended by senior executives from both Scania and the Traton Group, including Christian Levin, CEO of the Traton Group and President and CEO of Scania; Camilla Dewoon, Executive Vice President of Scania Group and President of Scania China; and Volker Hillmann, Executive Director of Sales and Service and General Manager of NEXT ERA.
Christian Levin said China remains a core market and a key growth driver in the group’s global strategy. He noted that Scania will continue to increase investment in China, strengthen local decision-making, and enable faster responses to customer needs through products and solutions tailored to the local market.
Camilla Dewoon said the launch of the NEXT ERA tractor series and the completion of the sales and service network reflect Scania’s long-term commitment to the Chinese market. Despite intense competition, she noted that NEXT ERA has received market feedback exceeding initial expectations, supported by close cooperation with local partners and teams.
Volker Hillmann said the dealer authorization marks the beginning of a new phase for NEXT ERA in China. He added that the company plans to further enhance its product portfolio and sales and service systems while working closely with partners to support the development of China’s heavy-duty truck market.
With the nationwide Tier-One dealer network now in place, NEXT ERA has established a solid foundation for its continued expansion in China. The company plans to deepen cooperation with its dealer partners, strengthen its heavy-duty truck ecosystem, and support the ongoing modernization of China’s long-haul transportation sector.
