SINOTRUK Sets New Export Record with Over 16,000 Heavy Trucks Shipped in Jan.

February 07,2026

Chinese commercial vehicle manufacturer SINOTRUK reported a strong start to the year, with heavy-duty truck exports exceeding 16,000 units in January, setting a new company and industry record.

The result follows the company’s first monthly export breakthrough of 15,000 units in September last year. SINOTRUK reached the new high just four months later, extending its upward export trend into the beginning of the year.

Strong Full-Year Performance in 2025

In 2025, SINOTRUK recorded solid overall growth.

Total vehicle sales exceeded 440,000 units, representing a 22.5% year-on-year increase. Heavy-duty truck sales reached 300,000 units, ranking first in China’s heavy truck market for the fourth consecutive year. The company also became the world’s largest seller of heavy-duty trucks for the first time.

Overseas performance remained a key growth driver.

Full-year heavy truck exports surpassed 150,000 units, up more than 14% year-on-year, allowing SINOTRUK to retain its position as China’s leading heavy truck exporter for the 21st consecutive year. Monthly exports stayed above 15,000 units for three straight months, before climbing to over 16,000 units in January, a new peak.

Domestic demand also remained strong.

SINOTRUK ranked first in several major market segments, while its market share in new energy vehicles and advanced intelligent driving products increased notably. According to company data, Jinan Truck Manufacturing Company alone secured orders exceeding 28,600 units in January.

The company’s performance was reflected in the capital market.

In January, SINOTRUK’s Hong Kong-listed shares reached a record high, pushing its market capitalization above HKD 100 billion for the first time.

Manufacturing Capacity and Localization Support Growth

SINOTRUK attributed its performance to sustained investment in manufacturing and product quality.

The company operates large-scale, highly efficient production facilities. In 2025, annual capacity at the Laiwu plant exceeded 110,000 units.

To strengthen its global presence, SINOTRUK continues to expand localized operations.

The company has established 37 KD assembly plants in 27 countries, integrating sales, after-sales service, and financial support to improve market access and response times.

The Algeria KD plant, which began operations at the end of last year, has become a key base for the African market, with exports in January rising 656% year-on-year.

Meanwhile, the Tanzania KD plant is operating at full capacity, posting 55% year-on-year export growth in January.

SINOTRUK has also expanded its overseas service network, with more than 700 service stations and spare parts centers supporting customers across multiple regions.

Expanding Global Strategy

At its 2025 Global Partners Conference, SINOTRUK reaffirmed its commitment to a full-range export strategy and long-term global expansion. The company plans to upgrade its product lineup, enhance lifecycle cooperation with partners, and strengthen its global marketing system as part of its 2030 strategic roadmap.

The January export record marks both a continuation of recent momentum and a new phase of growth.

As global commercial vehicle demand gradually recovers, SINOTRUK plans to further invest in product development, technology, cost efficiency, and service infrastructure.

Building on its SITRAK and HOWO dual-brand strategy, the company is also expanding into light trucks and pickup trucks, aiming to establish a broader commercial vehicle portfolio. Localization of production, management, and talent remains a key focus.

Today, SINOTRUK vehicles are sold in more than 150 countries and regions across six continents, with over one million heavy-duty trucks in operation worldwide. The company said it will continue to focus on green, intelligent, service-oriented, and global development as it seeks to strengthen its position in the global commercial vehicle market.
