Sinotruk has officially delivered its first batch of new energy electric trucks to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in the Philippines, marking a significant milestone for both the company and the local green mobility market. The delivery also included comprehensive operational and maintenance training for local personnel to ensure immediate and safe deployment.

This represents the first time the UNDP has purchased electric trucks in the Philippines, as well as Sinotruk’s inaugural United Nations procurement order in the country. The achievement underscores the growing global recognition of Chinese new energy commercial vehicles.

Rising global oil prices have led to a slowdown in demand for traditional fuel vehicles in the Philippines, while interest in sustainable and green transportation continues to grow. Sinotruk capitalized on this trend by introducing its electric truck solutions to government procurement and green logistics sectors, creating new opportunities for market expansion.

During the handover, Sinotruk’s local service engineers and trainers provided in-depth guidance covering safe driving, vehicle operation, and electric truck maintenance. The “delivery plus training” approach ensures that the trucks are ready for efficient and secure operation immediately upon arrival.
