BYD Delivers 100 T75 Electric Light Trucks to Mexico

The vehicles recently arrived at the Port of Lázaro Cárdenas in the state of Michoacán and are expected to enter service in a range of logistics applications, including urban freight transportation, last-mile delivery, and cargo distribution.
Known as the BYD T5 in China, the T75 is designed for urban and regional logistics operations. The model offers a rated payload of 4,550 kg and a driving range of more than 200 km, providing a practical solution for short- and medium-distance freight transportation.
To support demanding operating conditions, the vehicle features a reinforced suspension system, enhanced driving stability, and a compact turning radius that improves maneuverability in dense urban environments. The truck also incorporates an ergonomic cab layout and advanced driver-assistance technologies designed to improve safety and driver comfort.
The arrival of the first 100 T75 units reflects growing demand for electric commercial vehicles in Mexico, where rapid growth in logistics, e-commerce, and urban delivery services is accelerating interest in low-emission transportation solutions.
Oscar Zubiría, General Manager of Electric Mobility Trucks, BYD's truck distributor in Mexico, said the delivery demonstrates the company's long-term commitment to the Mexican market and its confidence in the country's transition toward cleaner transportation.
According to Zubiría, the T75 fleet will help customers improve operational efficiency while advancing fleet electrification goals. He also confirmed that BYD plans to further expand its commercial vehicle portfolio in Mexico with the introduction of additional new-energy models, including the V9 electric van and the T35 electric light truck.
Mexico is increasingly emerging as one of the key growth markets for electric commercial vehicles in Latin America. As transportation operators seek more sustainable and cost-efficient solutions, demand for zero-emission trucks is expected to continue rising.
BYD Commercial Vehicles said it will continue strengthening its local presence through expanded product offerings, enhanced service capabilities, and closer collaboration with local partners. The company aims to support the development of a greener, more efficient, and more sustainable transportation ecosystem in Mexico.
