FOTON Launches eView Connect Electric Van in Thailand

June 15,2026

CP FOTON has officially launched the eView Connect electric van in Thailand, marking another milestone in FOTON's expansion of its new energy commercial vehicle business across Southeast Asia.

The launch event brought together executives from CP Group and FOTON International, customers, strategic partners, financial institutions, dealers, and local media, highlighting the growing momentum behind Thailand's transition to electric mobility.

As Thailand advances its "30@30" policy, which aims for electric vehicles to account for 30% of total vehicle production by 2030, demand for electric commercial vehicles continues to rise. However, challenges related to charging infrastructure, charging efficiency, and fleet operations remain key concerns for transport operators.

Designed specifically for local market requirements, the eView Connect offers a practical solution for urban logistics and distribution. The vehicle is equipped with CATL's third-generation liquid-cooled battery technology and is available with 50.23 kWh and 66.67 kWh battery options. It supports both AC and DC charging and features 2C fast-charging capability, helping operators maximize vehicle uptime. The battery is backed by an eight-year or 400,000-kilometer warranty, while a battery-swapping version is also being considered for future deployment.

Built on a dedicated electric vehicle platform, the eView Connect features upgraded intelligent systems and improved NVH performance, delivering a quieter and more comfortable driving experience for commercial operators.

During the launch event, CP FOTON also handed over the first batch of eView Connect vehicles to five companies from sectors including logistics, IT retail, vehicle leasing, retail services, and investment. The deliveries mark the vehicle's entry into real-world operations and reinforce its readiness for Thailand's growing urban logistics market.

"The eView Connect was developed to address the real needs of transport operators in Thailand," said Chen Demao, President of CP FOTON. "It combines FOTON's years of expertise in electric commercial vehicles with a deep understanding of local customer requirements."

Beyond the vehicle launch, CP FOTON signed strategic cooperation agreements with charging network operator Spark EV and technology company Huawei, strengthening the ecosystem supporting electric commercial vehicle adoption in Thailand.

Under the agreement with Spark EV, the two companies will collaborate on expanding charging infrastructure for medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicles, particularly along long-haul logistics routes. Spark EV is one of Thailand's fastest-growing charging network providers and has been actively expanding its ultra-fast charging network nationwide.

Huawei will provide advanced ultra-fast charging technology for the project. As a strategic technology partner of Spark EV, Huawei has already deployed its liquid-cooled ultra-fast charging solutions in Bangkok, Pattaya, Chiang Mai, and other key locations across Thailand.

Together, these partnerships aim to enhance charging accessibility and efficiency for commercial vehicle operators, helping reduce range anxiety and supporting the broader adoption of electric trucks and vans beyond urban delivery applications.

Established in 2019, CP FOTON is a joint venture between FOTON and Thailand's CP Group. Combining FOTON's commercial vehicle expertise with CP Group's strong local network, the company has developed an integrated business covering manufacturing, sales, and service operations in Thailand.

Several FOTON new energy commercial vehicle models have already been introduced to the Thai market, and the company plans to expand its portfolio further in the coming years.

The launch of the eView Connect represents another important step in FOTON's global expansion and localization strategy. Looking ahead, the company will continue strengthening its sales, after-sales, and parts support capabilities in Thailand while working with local partners to promote sustainable and intelligent logistics solutions.

With Thailand serving as a strategic hub, FOTON aims to accelerate its presence across the Asia-Pacific region and contribute to the development of greener and more efficient logistics networks.
