XCMG New-Energy Heavy Trucks Debut at Indonesia International Mining Exhibition
October 08,2026
The exhibition recently concluded and is one of the major mining events in Southeast Asia. It brought together companies from around the world in mining equipment, engineering and logistics.
XCMG displayed a battery-electric tractor truck and a battery-electric dump truck at the event.

Indonesia’s mining transport industry faces challenging operating conditions, including high temperatures, high humidity, steep and slippery roads, and dusty environments. Coastal routes can also expose vehicles to salt spray and corrosion.
To meet these conditions, XCMG developed the two electric trucks for different transport applications. They cover both frequent transport operations inside mining areas and longer routes connecting mines with ports and smelters. Both are designed for heavy loads and continuous operation.
The battery-electric dump truck is mainly designed for heavy-duty transport inside mining areas. It features a reinforced frame, heavy-duty suspension and improved dust-sealing design. These features help the truck handle fully loaded uphill driving, muddy roads and dusty conditions.
The battery-electric tractor truck is designed mainly for transport routes between mines, ports and smelters. With an efficient powertrain setup and an ergonomic cab, the truck is designed to balance payload capacity, energy consumption and driver comfort during long-distance transport.
Building Local Support for Long-Term Operations
For new-energy heavy trucks, vehicle delivery is only the beginning. A reliable sales, maintenance, spare parts and after-sales service network is important for long-term vehicle operations.
In recent years, XCMG has used the group’s local resources in R&D, manufacturing and finance in Indonesia to better understand local mining and transport needs. The company has also incorporated local operating conditions into its product development.

At the same time, XCMG has worked with local partners to improve its sales, maintenance, spare parts and after-sales service network. The goal is to provide transport solutions that better match local operating conditions and support customers throughout the vehicle’s service life.
During the exhibition, the XCMG team held discussions with customers on vehicle selection, operating conditions and total lifecycle operating costs. Based on the needs of Indonesia’s mining transport industry, the company presented complete vehicle and operation solutions and reached several cooperation agreements in principle.
From the exhibition floor in Jakarta to mining sites across Indonesia, XCMG is expanding its new-energy heavy truck business in the Indonesian market. The company aims to provide electric transport solutions that better fit the real operating conditions of the local mining industry.
