Dongfeng to invest $250 million in Turkey

Dongfeng Motor Corporation has decided to invest $250 million in Turkey to assemble vehicles, with production starting by the end of this year, the Turkish newspaper Zaman reported.
A Turkish official from the Ministry of Foreign Trade confirmed the news and added the project is reaching the final stage.
The Chinese carmaker expects the plant could become a stepping stone to Europe, the Middle East and South Africa, as well as Turkey.
