Guanna Mining Orders 500 Electric Autonomous Mining Trucks
February 11,2026

The agreement was signed in Wuhai with Tongli Heavy Industry, CIDI Autonomous Driving, CATL, and Jiangsu Hengwang Digital Technology participating as project partners.
The order reflects the mining industry’s accelerating shift toward low-carbon, intelligent transport solutions, as operators seek to improve safety, efficiency and environmental performance in high-intensity mining operations.
Integrated Electric and Autonomous Mining Transport Solution
Under the agreement, the five parties will jointly develop an integrated mining transport solution covering vehicle manufacturing, battery systems, autonomous driving technology and digital operation platforms.

The ordered vehicles are battery-electric, driverless mining trucks, equipped with features such as intelligent dust control systems and designed for continuous operation in demanding mining environments. The project aims to enable unmanned transport across the entire mining site, reducing safety risks associated with manual driving while lowering dust and carbon emissions.

The partners plan to use the project as a demonstration model for fully autonomous and green mining transport, offering a practical approach to long-standing challenges such as operational safety and environmental pressure in the mining sector.
Long-Term Partnership Drives Equipment Evolution
Cooperation between Guanna Group and Tongli Heavy Industry began in 2007 and has now spanned 19 years.
During this period, both parties have witnessed the evolution of China’s off-road wide-body dump trucks from conventional fuel-powered vehicles to larger, electrified and increasingly intelligent platforms. From early models such as the TL3401 to later products including the DTE145, mining equipment has transitioned from diesel powertrains to pure electric and smart configurations.
Tongli Heavy Industry has continued to enhance equipment performance through technology upgrades, while Guanna Group has provided long-term, real-world operating environments that support rapid product testing and iteration.
Reducing Emissions and Costs While Improving Efficiency
The electric autonomous mining trucks were jointly developed by Tongli Heavy Industry in collaboration with CATL, CIDI Autonomous Driving and Jiangsu Hengwang Digital Technology.
The solution targets key challenges in mining transport, including high energy consumption, labor intensity and safety risks. By reducing emissions during haulage operations, the equipment is also expected to help control operating costs while improving operational stability and safety at mining sites.
The project provides critical equipment support for the development of smart mines and green mines, aligning with broader industry efforts to improve sustainability and efficiency.

Supporting the Mining Industry’s Sustainable Transition
According to the partners, the agreement represents an important step for Guanna Group in exploring new mining operation models, as well as a practical move by Tongli Heavy Industry and its partners to advance mining equipment toward automation, electrification and system-based solutions.
Looking ahead, the parties plan to further strengthen cooperation in new-energy mining equipment, autonomous driving technologies and smart mining systems, supporting the long-term and sustainable development of the mining industry in China and internationally.
