November 24,2009
(chinatrucks.com, Nov. 24, 2009)Recently, German truck maker Man Group moves into emerging markets frequently, especially in the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China).
Man Group has bought 25% stake of CNHTC, taken over Volkswagen's truck business in Brazil, found a joint venture in India, construct a new factory in Poland, and targeting the Russian market. Compared to the big moves in emerging markets, Man Group has no activity in United States market.
While after the co-operation between CNHTC and Man Group, CNHTC's market share increased to 20%, Mann hopes they can join the effort with Sinotruk to develop their export business.
On the export side, Man Group also has a 50:50 ownership joint venture with India Force Motor, the enterprise was established in 2006.
