(chinatrucks.com, Jan.22, 2010)Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co<600418>, the second-largest manufacturer of light trucks in China, plans to invest RMB 407 million to build a light commercial vehicle plant in Qingdao, Shandong Province, sources said.

The new plant, which is expected to start production in 2012, is designed with an annual capacity of 100,000 light pickups.

Thanks to the government's stimulus measures, the Hefei-based company sold 123,219 cars last year, up 112% from the previous year, and the company aims at a sales volume of 300,000 units in 2010.
