Xi’an Cummins to push Euro IV standard engine

(chinatrucks.com, April 14, 2010) It is learned by reporter on April 9, 2010 that Euro IV standard Cummins ISM (11L) engine for heavy vehicle researched by Xi’an Cummins Engine Company is almost ready. It will be pushed on the market of next half of 2010, estimated by general manager of Xi’an Cummins Engine Company, Zhuanghua Guan.
Euro IV standard Cummins ISM (11L) engine for heavy vehicle is a brand new product of the company, whose power range is from 345 to 440 horsepower. Although fuel prudence of Euro IV standard is limited, nitric oxide and particulate matter emission is reduced more than 20% compared with Nation IV standard Cummins ISM (11L) engine used on domestic market.
Moreover, the new engine is to be provided to overseas market at the beginning, and it’s very easy for it to match with domestic heavy truck once there is a demand for domestic market. At present, annual production of heavy vehicle engine is over 8,000 by Xi’an Cummins Engine Company.
