Volkswagen Group China Unveils 2018 Strategy in terms of the long-term strategy, Volkswagen will bring the number of its sales outlets to not less than 2,000, introduce at least 40 new models, and sell 2 million vehicles in China by 2018.

Winfried Vahland, CEO of Volkswagen Group China, says that he hopes the two joint ventures can work together to create synergy and as their parent company the group is in duty bound to prompt cooperation between the two companies.

Shanghai VolksWagen and Faw-Volkswagen have been playing dominantly in the automobile market in China, and they have been vying with each other in the past decade.

Under the new strategy, Shanghai VolksWagen will focus on the European culture and corporate responsibility, while Faw-volkswagen will pay more attention to local culture and social responsibility.
