GM and SAIC to promote mini truck in India by 2012

(chinatrucks.com, August 13, 2010) It is presented by GM that the average increase of Indian commercial vehicle is 24% in next three or four years.
India has a growing demands for light truck in these years because the fast development of city economy and traffic hub. At the moment, almost 50% of the selling commercial vehicle in India is light truck. TAT auto has owned 90% market share and taken the absolute advantage.
Meanwhile, the AV Company of Japan Nissan Auto Company and Indian auto manufacturer Ashok Leyland is beginning to produce light truck. Daimler company is to produce light truck in the truck manufacturer plant located in the South of India.
