SGMW to promote mini truck in India by the end of 2012

Indian subsidiary of GM is to introduce the light truck developed by SAIC before 2011. During these years, the demands of light truck in India are increasing very fast, and the economy and traffic is developing very fast in India. At present, almost half of the commercial vehicles sold by India are light trucks. Tata motors own nearly 90% market share, taken the absolute advantage.

At the same time, AV Company of Japan Nissan Auto Company and India National Auto Manufacturer, Ashok Leyland, is beginning to produce light truck. Daimler is to produce light truck in the truck plant located in Southern part of India.
