Under the general commercial alliance made of Volvo, Renault, Mark, Nissan and Dongfeng, Volvo truck features high-quality technology. On the other side, its controlling interest to technology just blocked its fully integrating into the auto alliance.

Compared with its rivals, we may find that Volvo has the least product lines, only large commercial vehicles. Although the fast growing needs for seven liter below medium and light commercial vehicles, Volvo has never focused on making such segment markets. The super large commercial vehicles can only meet their superiority complex, and it cannot help on the financial reports, especially under the financial crisis.
