Sales of Dongfeng and Shaanxi Auto Highlight 1st Quarter

www.chinatrucks.com: In the first quarter in 2011, 1,143,429 commercial vehicles were produced in China, up 4.66%, and 1,139,813 units were sold out, up 4.86%.

Driven by central government 4000 billion Yuan investment on infrastructure construction, market needs for dumpers and spvs will be similar to that of 2009, and the key markets will still be Northwest, Northeast and Southwest. And markets for tippers will still be increasing with city and countryside integration, rebuilt of villages in cities, subways constructions in provincial capitals, high-speed railways etc.

Sales of heavy trucks soared in the first three months, 85,311 heavy trucks were sold out in January, and 75,271 heavy trucks were sold out in Feb, and 130,066 units in March, up 10.22%. And all the sales in the three months hit record high in history.

According sales statistics from CAAM, salse of Dongfeng headed China heavy truck markets, up 16.67%; sales of Sinotruk ranked the second benefiting development of adapting markets, up 0.46%; sales of FAW decreased by 21.61%, and their sales of tractors decreased by 21.2%. Sales of Shaanxi Auto ranked the fourth with the highest sales growth, up 17.46%; and Beiqi Foton was the fifth.
