Dongfeng-VOLVO production base settles in Hangzhou

www.chinatrucks.com: Dongfeng and Volvo will forge joint-venture production base in Hangzhou soon, and the Dongfeng Nissan Diesel based plant will produce 50,000 high-end medium and heavy trucks in 2015.
The cooperate of Dongfeng Nissan Diesel can be traced back to 1996, and the plant mainly produce heavy trucks and luxurious coach chassis. Volvo bought 15% shares of Nissan Diesel in 2007.
Volvo tries to produce Volvo truck in China to reduce the imported trucks costs. And Dongfeng takes 55% shares for the joint venture. And Renault trucks will be also introduced.
