Donfeng Auto plans to produce light commercial vehicles in Thailand

www.chinatrucks.com: The 4th largest bank in Thailand, Kasikornbank, offered 3.48 million USD to Dongfeng to build light commercial vehicle plant in Thailand.
The plant will produce light CVs for surrounding countries, such as Laos, Cambodia, Burma and Malaysia with the future mutual exemption tariffs within ASEAN.
The plant locates north of Bangkok and initial production capacity are 5,000 units, and 2,000 Dongfeng vehicles were sold in Thailand in 2011, and the figure will amounted to 10,000 units in 2013.
