www.chinatrucks.com: It is learned from FAW Jiefang that they have signed letter of intent with GAZ Group, the largest commercial vehicle maker in Russia, to build commercial vehicle production base in Russia to produce and sell FAW medium and heavy trucks, and the output will amount to 5,000 units to 10,000 units in three years.
Previously FAW has made contract with Iranian auto industry authority that they will produce passenger cars, and at first they will produce 50,000 units a year.
FAW will also build or expand their production bases in Pakistan, Mexico, Ukraine, KZ and Ethiopia to produce passenger cars, light, medium and heavy trucks. FAW has set FAW African Investment Company is South Africa.
