April 01,2008
World number two truck maker Volvo said on Tuesday shipments of its trucks rose 52 percent year-on-year during the first two months of the year on the back of strong demand in Europe, its biggest market.
The Swedish firm delivered 42,956 trucks in January through February compared to 28,275 in the corresponding month a year earlier, it said in a statement.
This would mean deliveries in February alone rose 54 percent year-on-year to 22,100 units, including Nissan Diesel.
