Beiqi Foton Automobile Co., Ltd is holding a ceremony for its first JV Beijing Foton Cummins Engine Co., Ltd today. It is estimated that the JV will be biggest engine maker in China, whose production capacity will reach 400,000 units per year.

The JV is established on the basis of 50-50 investment by Foton and Cummins. Total investment value is 2.7 billion RMB. The JV will produce two types of Cummins light-duty, high-performance diesel engines  which could be used on light truck, pick up truck, SUV MPV and other off road vehicles in Bejing.
