The First R&D Center of Dongfeng Auto Established in Sweden

www.chinatrucks.com: On 23,September, 2012, a contract was signed between Dongfeng Auto and TEngineering (Hereafter referred to as “T Company”) to purchase 70% of T company’s equity. This is a statement that the first overseas R&D center of Dongfeng Auto is officially settled in Sweden. As the first overseas R&D team of Dongfeng, T Company will further enhance the R&D resources of Dongfeng to offer technical supports and services in electronic control for the independent passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles of Dongfeng, which will promote the internationalization of Dongfeng.
According to the basic Equity Acquisition Agreement, the purchase will be conducted within two phases. 70% of T company’s equity will be purchased in the early stage and the other 30% will be completed within two years of the purchase. To speed up the independent R&D ability of Dongfeng and enhance the relationship between the two parties, technical teams from Dongfeng has begun the cooperation of three technical projects with T company from the beginning of 2012. In the near future, with T company as the basis, Dongfeng will further expand the overseas R&D process from electronic control to the development of transmission and vehicle modeling platform and build a overseas R&D center that is able to absorb vehicle technology talents in Europe.
