Volvo Truck sales volume in Russia up 64 %

According to Russian TASS, the Swedish truck maker Volvo sales volume in Russia up 64 % y-o-y from Jan to Jul.
It is learnt that Volvo invested 140.5 million U.S. dollars to build a truck plant in Kaluga a city located in southwest of Moscow. The plant will be put into production in 2009 with expected annual output of 10,000 Volvo trucks and 5,000 Renault trucks.
At present, the number of truck in Russia reaches 4.8 million, half of which have been used for more than ten years, which indicates truck updating peak is coming.
