MAN Group to Invest in Zhanjiang, Guangdong

Global leading heavy-duty truck maker MAN Group will build presence in Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province in south China.
MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG, the commercial vehicle arm of MAN Group, decides to cooperate with local Chinese companies in Zhanjiang to extend reaches in sales, maintenance, after-sale services and even to set up factories.
William Lee, CEO for Asia-Pacific Region of MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG, reveals that Zhanjiang has a port that has annual throughput over 100 million tons and China has set up several key projects there, including a 10-million-ton iron and steel production base. MAN Group wants to build up a bridgehead in Zhanjiang to prepare for the expansion in Southeast Asia.
MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG, headquartered in Munich, Germany, is the maker of the world's first diesel engine and it today manufacturers and supplies a variety of trucks, buses, and chassis for middle and large buses, as well as engines ranging from 110 horsepower to 1400 horsepower.
