DeepWay also announced that its 3.0 heavy truck, developed for the European market, will be launched in 2027.

The company is expanding from new-energy heavy trucks into smart highway freight and autonomous freight vehicles.

Local Development for Europe

Europe has a mature road freight market and strict regulations for commercial vehicles and zero-emission transportation.

For new-energy truck makers, entering Europe means more than exporting vehicles. Products need to meet local requirements for regulations, roads, climate, charging infrastructure and fleet operations.

DeepWay has followed an integrated vehicle development approach since the development of its first truck. Instead of simply converting a traditional diesel truck to electric power, the company designs the vehicle architecture from the start, with advanced autonomous driving as a key development direction.

The two trucks displayed at IAA Transportation have also been adapted for the European market.

Both vehicles are designed to meet European regulations and driving habits. An air-suspension seat is available for the passenger side, while different chassis and suspension setups are used to improve comfort on long-distance trips.

The trucks feature European-standard charging connectors and a fully English-language vehicle interface. Key components have received relevant EU certifications, and the vehicles have been tuned to European standards.

Expanding Overseas Markets

DeepWay is using its technology and operating experience in China to expand its international business.

The company delivered its first vehicles to overseas customers in 2024, marking the start of its international expansion.

Since 2026, DeepWay has accelerated its overseas commercial operations and started larger-scale deliveries.

The company has established sales and service channels in Southeast Asia, Africa, Australia and New Zealand, and has completed initial vehicle deliveries in several overseas markets.

In 2027, DeepWay plans to expand further into Europe, North America, the Middle East and Latin America, with Europe as an important market for its global expansion.

The DeepWay 3.0 heavy truck, developed specifically for the European market, is scheduled to launch in 2027.

The new truck will be developed to meet EU regulations and certification requirements, including WVTA. It will also be adapted to different European road and climate conditions, as well as local charging infrastructure and fleet operations.

This marks a move from exporting existing products to developing vehicles specifically for the European market.

DeepWay is currently working on European regulatory certification, supply chain research and local service development.
